The Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) condemns a series of violent incidents we have witnessed in several towns in Vojvodina in the last couple of days and demands urgent reaction of the prosecutor’s office, as well as a condemnation by the Provincial Government, the Government of Serbia and the President of Serbia.

On December 12 2019, defence witness Ljubisav Simić, former president of the Bratunac Municipal Assembly, said that this had been an incident which occurred after one person from the group of Bosniak civilians had grabbed the gun from the member of Serbian forces.
Last weekend, the Youth Initiative for Human Rights organised a two-day educational workshop for young activists and for journalists in Niš within the programme “Truth and Reconciliation in Serbia”.
