The Committee on Enforced Disappearances Called on Serbia to Implement the UN Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica

On April 4, 2025, United Nations Committee on Enforced Disappearances (CED) published a report on Serbia with recommendations, including a series from the Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR), sent to the Committee on March 12 this year. Among the recommendations of the CED for the authorities in Serbia are the implementation of the UN General Assembly Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica and the change of legislation in order to sanction the denial of war crimes and the glorfication of war criminals.

Commissioner for Protection of Equality Recommends Immediate Suspension of the Competition and Creation of Mural of Nebojša Pavković in Ćuprija

Street Action “Every Step Was a Risk” Marks the 33rd Anniversary of the Siege of Sarajevo in Belgrade

On Friday, April 4, 2025, the Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) unveiled an artistic-activist installation titled “Every Step Was a Risk” on Čika Ljubina Street in Belgrade. The installation was created to mark the 33rd anniversary of the start of the Siege of Sarajevo and is dedicated to all the victims of the war in Sarajevo from 1992 to 1996, regardless of their ethnic, national, or religious background.
