The“Mirëdita, dobar dan!” festival, an event to be held in Belgrade for the sixth time presenting modern cultural and social scene of Kosovo, is to be closed today at 7PM with an award presentation to the authors of the film ’Albanian Women Are Our Sisters’ and to ’Samizdat B92’ for exceptional contribution to reconciliation and the culture of remembrance of the peace activists from Serbia and Kosovo.
The “Mirëdita, dobar dan!“ Festival, a unique event which has presented Kosovo cultural and social scene to the Belgrade public since 2014, will be held from May 29th to June 1st this year.
The Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) wishes to express its disapproval of the public panels and statements made within public institutions and public media service RTS where convicted war criminal Nikola Šainović has made guest appearances, and where facts about war crimes that affected Albanian population in Kosovo during 1999. were being neglected or made relative.
