Youth Initiative for Human Rights is a partner organization together with Memo98, Political Capital, ResPublika in the implementation of the Western Balkan project as part of the Forum 2000 conference.

This project aims to develop a road map for the countries of the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia) in order to support their democratic resilience, institutions, and civil society organizations by connecting relevant actors and decision-makers.

Since 1997, Forum 2000 has been organizing an annual conference that has attracted a large number of distinguished leaders, Nobel laureates, former and active politicians, businessmen, leaders, and other individuals who share the experience of bearing responsibility towards society.

Some of these people are His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Bogdan Aurescu, Bill Clinton, Henry Kissinger, Prince Hassan bin Talal, Madeleine Albright, and only from last year Viola Von Cramon, José Manuel Albares, Annalena Baerbock, Daniel Berg, Petr Fiala, Jamie Fly, Petr Gandalovic, Carl Gershman, Pekka Haavisto, Dmytro Kuleba, Gabrielius Landsbergis, Jan Lipavský, Vesna Pusic, Gordan Grlić Radman and many others shared their ideas and vision of democracy and progress.

“Democracy is not just a system, it is a belief in the power of the people to create a better future for themselves and for generations to come. It is the ultimate expression of human freedom, where every voice can be heard, every vote can be counted, and every person can make a difference.”

If this is something you agree with and are passionate about democracy, politics, activism, and peacebuilding and want to create positive change in your community, the conference will provide an opportunity to learn from and engage with experts and leaders in these fields, as well as network with fellow participants from across the globe.
