Open call for RYLMP Fellows 2025/2026
Regional Youth Leadership Mobility Programme (RYLMP), funded by Open Society Foundation in Western Balkans, and implemented by Center Science and Innovation for Development (SCiDEV) from Albania, Youth Educational Forum (YEF) from North Macedonia and Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Serbia, is looking for young professionals, young researchers, and youth activists, interested in producing cross- border policy papers and translating them into meaningful and impactful advocacy campaigns capable of making change.

Massive Human Rights Violations Cannot Be Called a “Heroic Struggle”
The Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR Serbia) condemns the statements and actions of President Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister Macut and Minister of Justice Vujić, who exploited the poor health condition of Nebojša Pavković, a convicted war criminal, to celebrate him as a hero. It is unacceptable to use the application of basic human rights principles — which allow convicts to stay with their families and receive medical treatment in their home country due to serious health conditions — as a means to glorify and deny the massive human rights violations for which Pavković was convicted with final verdict. Such actions are in direct opposition to the principles of peace and stability. Instead of, as Minister Vujić said, “the state must stand behind Pavković, Karadžić and Mladić,” the Republic of Serbia must abide by the law, international obligations, and not war criminals.

Regional Pride Academy Successfully Concluded in Belgrade
Regional Pride Academy: Strengthening LGBTQI+ Youth Leadership and Solidarity was successfully held from September 3 to 7 in Belgrade. Over the course of four days, 30 young activists from across the Western Balkans had the opportunity to learn together, exchange experiences, and discuss ways to improve the position of the LGBTQI+ community in their societies.
