During the online meetings, participants from countries across the region (the Western Balkans, together with Croatia and Slovenia) worked on various topics important for developing advocacy capacities and engaging citizens in activities supporting the LGBTIQ+ community. The meetings focused on topics such as Actor & Tactics Mapping, Advocacy Goals, Problem Detectors, as well as developing Three Ideas for Citizen Engagement.
These meetings served as an introduction to the work carried out during the Regional Pride Academy in Belgrade and enabled participants, through an exchange of experiences and collaborative work, to map key issues, actors, and possible advocacy approaches in their respective communities. The results of the online work served as the basis for developing the Pride Volunteer Playbook, which participants continued working on during the Academy itself.
The aim of the Playbook is to provide volunteers with practical guidelines for organising Pride events, engaging citizens, building support, and responding to the challenges faced by Pride organisations across the region.
