Festival “Mirëdita, dobar dan!” in Prishtina from May 4th
The tenth jubilee edition of the “Mirëdita, dobar dan!” festival, a unique cultural event that has been organized in Belgrade and Prishtina since 2014, will be held from May 4th to 6th in Prishtina, with the presentation of the modern artistic, cultural, and social scene of Serbia and with raising critical issues concerning both the past and the future in times that represent a great challenge for Kosovo and Serbian society. Citizens of Prishtina will have the opportunity to get to know the Serbian cultural scene, musicians, film, and literary authors.

Women’s voices for peace in Serbia and Kosovo
On International Women’s Day, civil society from Kosovo and Serbia are united in their calls for more women’s voices to be heard in the normalisation process. The signatories also voiced their concerns about the failure to incorporate gender-specific considerations into the various dialogue agreements and, in particular, the Agreement on the path to normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia.

YIHR Offices attacked on Sunday
On Sunday, 19th of February, at approximately 16.35, a group of young men was passing by our office windows, when one of them vandalized our windows by spraying them with black can paint. Luckily, no one was injured during the attack. We demand that the authorities immediately investigate and process of the culprit, to stop the evident vandalism of far-right extremist groups and the demolition of the walls and facades of Belgrade, as well as other cities across the country. Futhermore we urge the authorities to prosecute the individuals who have continously, particularly in the last 24 hours, sent severe threats to activists and civilians on social media (publicly and privately).

Regional training on minority rights brought together youth activists
The Erasmus Training on Minority Rights in Youth Work assembly participants from Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Croatia. From the 18th until the 26th of November at Fruska gora, Youth Initiative for Human Rights organized Erasmus+ training “Promotion of Minority Rights in Youth Work”. With young people from all over the Western Balkans we discussed minority rights in their countries, what’s the status of youth workers in their own countries and most importantly what can we do to support and help minority youth. The trainers of the training were Barbara Santibanez from France, Dragalina Gorbati from Italy and Dejana Dexi Stošić from Serbia.
