The guide before you is a simplified explanation of how the ombudsman institution functions. The guide should help the reader understand the purpose of this institution, why it was founded in the first place, how it protects our rights, its status in the legal system of the Republic of Serbia, what its duties are, how it functions and how you the institution can help you protect your rights. The aim of the guide is to allow citizens to become acquainted with the protection mechanisms of the ombudsman institution, as well as to promote civic rights and their protection.<\/p>\n
