{"id":2374,"date":"2016-06-27T16:14:52","date_gmt":"2016-06-27T16:14:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yihr.rs\/?p=2374"},"modified":"2016-06-27T16:14:52","modified_gmt":"2016-06-27T16:14:52","slug":"rights-of-persons-deprived-of-liberty-in-serbian-prison-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yihr.rs\/en\/rights-of-persons-deprived-of-liberty-in-serbian-prison-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Rights of Persons Deprived of Liberty in Serbian Prison System"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The project \u201eBuilding free of torture and impunity societies in the Western Balkans\u201c was implemented by the leading partner &#8211; the Youth Initiative for Human Rights Montenegro\u00a0 ((YIHRCG) member of the Civic Alliance)) and their partners: the Youth Initiative for Human Rights Serbia (YIHRSR), Center for Rehabilitation from traumatism and torture from Albania (ARCT) and the International Council for the rehabilitation of torture victims from Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the project is to contribute to a society without torture through civil society activities aimed against abuse and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, and all of that with the intention to eliminate (or reduce to a minimum) the torture of persons deprived of liberty in Montenegro, Serbia and Albania.<\/p>\n<p>The Initiative\u2019s Monitoring team conducted 19 visits in 14 different prisons during this period of 30 months, and 5 of the prisons were visited twice (Correctional institute \u0106uprija, County jail Zrenjanin, County jail Kragujevac, County jail \u010ca\u010dak and County jail Pan\u010devo) in order to monitor the implementation of recommendations made during the previous visit as well as to record the changes in the conditions and treatment in the institution in the period between the two visits.<\/p>\n<p>In this report, you can find all conclusions and recommendations from these 19 visits.<\/p>\n<p>Find the whole report <a href=\"https:\/\/yihr.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Prava-lica-li\u0161enih-slobode-ENG.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The report \u201cRights of Persons Deprived of Liberty in Serbian Prison System\u201d was written in the scope of \u201eBuilding free of torture and impunity societies in the Western Balkans\u201c project.","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":2372,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"ngg_post_thumbnail":0},"categories":[63],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.7 -
