{"id":17801,"date":"2024-11-20T14:46:50","date_gmt":"2024-11-20T13:46:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yihr.rs\/?p=17801"},"modified":"2024-11-28T14:37:26","modified_gmt":"2024-11-28T13:37:26","slug":"human-rights-and-advocacy-training-from-memory-to-action-peace-and-human-rights-in-post-conflict-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yihr.rs\/en\/human-rights-and-advocacy-training-from-memory-to-action-peace-and-human-rights-in-post-conflict-society\/","title":{"rendered":"Human Rights and Advocacy training ,,From Memory to Action: Peace and Human Rights in Post-conflict Society\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The three-day training titled \u201cFrom Memory to Action: Peace and Human Rights in Post-conflict Society\u201d is dedicated to youth aged 18 to 30 from across Serbia who wish to learn more about human rights, peace and conflict, as well as propaganda tools used by governments and authoritarian regimes, such as hate speech, and ways to combat them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through an interactive program that includes a series of lectures and opportunities for sharing ideas, knowledge, and experiences with other young people, participants will develop the skills necessary to advocate for human rights and build sustainable peace in their communities. They will be able to learn more aboutexamples of human rights violations, how the public and institutions in Serbia and around the world have responded to them, as well as various laws related to the protection of human rights. Selected participants will have the opportunity to write blog posts on topics from the training, with support from mentors, and publish them on the portal of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights and partner organizations and local media.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The training will take place in Belgrade, at End\u017eio HAB, located at Dobari\u010dina 4, from December 9 to 11. To mark International Human Rights Day, December 10, participants will join trainers and activists from the Youth Initiative for Human Rights and participate in street action in downtown Belgrade aimed at raising awareness about the importance of respecting human rights.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applications for participation are open until December 1st, and you can apply by filling out this application <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/yXg8orKyMJBHAbaNA\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">form<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
