Today, on the 30th anniversary of the war crime in \u0160trpci  (BH), representatives of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Serbia, Montenegro, and BH handed over a dossier of responsibilities to the leaders of the governments of Serbia, Montenegro, and the Republika Srpska entity in BH.<\/span><\/p>\n

The responsibility dossier consists of a letter to the leaders of the government with five demands and a number of records from the Nebojsa Ranisavljevic trial that show the FRY’s state leadership was aware of the kidnapping a month prior but did nothing to stop it. Therefore, in a letter to Prime Ministers Brnabic, Abazovic, and Viskovic, the representatives of our three offices requested the following of the three governments:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Immediately establish a joint commission to determine the truth regarding the institutions of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the Republic of Srpska, the Republic of Serbia, and the Republic of Montenegro’s responsibility for the war crime in \u0160trpci, and to compile and publish a report on that responsibility within two years;<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Respect the verdicts regarding the crime in \u0160trpci and take all necessary steps to ensure the independence of the war crimes prosecutors and judges in each of the three countries.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Encourage the work of the Commissions for Missing Persons in Serbia, Montenegro and BiH in order to find the remains of all victims of war crimes in \u0160trpci. One such measure would be the re-draining of Lake Peru\u0107ac;<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Pass legislation on civilian war victims so that the institutions of all three governments would finally recognize the families of those who were abducted in \u0160trpci as well as those who were victims of other war crimes and have been treated unfairly up until now;<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Declare February 27 as the Day of Remembrance for the railway passengers who were kidnapped in \u0160trpci and, in collaboration with the other two governments, perform a official commemoration for the crime victims on that day;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
