{"id":10648,"date":"2021-03-25T18:07:11","date_gmt":"2021-03-25T17:07:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yihr.rs\/?p=10648"},"modified":"2021-03-25T18:19:45","modified_gmt":"2021-03-25T17:19:45","slug":"call-for-experts-development-of-an-educational-program-on-the-problem-of-sexual-violence-in-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yihr.rs\/en\/call-for-experts-development-of-an-educational-program-on-the-problem-of-sexual-violence-in-war\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for experts: Development of an educational program on the problem of sexual violence in war"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"kvgmc6g5 cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">\n<h4 dir=\"auto\">We are searching for:<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Feminist Expert for development of educational program on sexual violence in wartime (4 persons)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Feminist Expert on education for youth for modification of educational program on sexual violence in wartime to meet the needs of youth (1 person)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From 2020 to 2024 <strong>Medica Mondiale (Germany)<\/strong> will coordinate a project titled <strong>\u201cAmplifying Voices of Women affected by war-related SGBV in the Western Balkans \u2013 For a culture of Recognition and Reconciliation\u201d<\/strong>, funded by the <strong>Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project partners are the <strong>Autonomous Women\u2019s Center, Women in Black and Youth Initiative for Human Rights (Serbia), Medica Zenica, Vive \u017dene (Bosnia and Hercegovina) and Medica Gjakova, Kosova Rehabilitation Centre for Torture <\/strong><strong>Victims (Kosovo).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project goal is to create a culture of recognition and reconciliation in the Western Balkans for women survivors of war-related SGBV to live in dignity and free from violence. Throughout the project duration, AWC, WIB and YIHR will, among other activities, organize a series of workshops on the issue of sexual violence in wartime for civil society organizations, the general public and youth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this ToR is to hire:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Feminist Experts (Experts) (4 persons) who will, together with the representatives of partner organizations from Serbia, create a unique educational program on sexual violence in wartime;<\/li>\n<li>Feminist Expert on education for youth (Youth Expert) (1 person) who will modify the created program in order to respond to the specific needs of youth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Deliverables:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Experts hired under this ToR will jointly develop a 3-day long educational program dedicated to civil society and the general public with the aim to gain the knowledge and awareness on the issue of sexual violence during the Yugoslav wars in the 90s. The Youth Expert will modify the program, adding elements that specifically cater to the needs of youth aged 15-30, born at the start of the wars and after them.<\/p>\n<p>This program should be based on strong feminist, survivor centered, anti-nationalist, antiracist and anti-militarist standpoints and should include (but not be limited to) the<br \/>\nfollowing information:<br \/>\n&#8211; Short history of sexual violence as a war crime \u2013 global dimension of the phenomenon<br \/>\n&#8211; Sexual violence during the Yugoslav wars \u2013 facts on scope of the problem<br \/>\n&#8211; Rape as a war crime before the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia<br \/>\n&#8211; State support and protection of survivors \u2013 comparative view of laws of all former Yugoslavia countries with the focus on Serbia<br \/>\n&#8211; Cross-border resistance of the women\u2019s movement \u2013 feminist organizing against sexual violence and supporting the survivors during and after the war (including Women\u2019s Court)<br \/>\n&#8211; The position and role of youth in post-conflict period<br \/>\n&#8211; Examples of commemoration and culture of remembrance from the region<\/p>\n<p>The final deliverable should include all the materials needed for conducting the program, including handouts and other material suggestions in the form of movies, books etc.<br \/>\n<strong>The language of the educative program should be Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Specific activities for Experts include:<br \/>\n\u2022 Communication with organization representatives conducting this activity and participation in joint meetings;<br \/>\n\u2022 Role division and development of educational packages \u2013 based on her background, each expert will develop one package of the educational program, including all materials;<br \/>\n\u2022 Joint work of all experts with organizations\u2019 representatives in order to prepare a program as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>Specific activity of the Youth Expert include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&nbsp;Preparation of modified program for youth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Timeframe and Deadlines:<\/strong><br \/>\nFor Experts:<br \/>\nFirst week of April \u2013 Selection of experts<br \/>\nMid May 2021 \u2013 All packages of the program developed; first draft of the program compiled<br \/>\nEnd of June 2021 \u2013 Final version of the program developed<br \/>\nFor Youth Expert:<br \/>\nEnd of July 2021 \u2013 Final version of the program for youth developed<\/p>\n<p><strong>Budget:<\/strong><br \/>\nTotal amount for positions under this ToR is 5.000EUR.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The language of the educative program should be Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Profile of Experts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Depending on number of received applications and its quality, the project partners will hire up to 5 experts with different backgrounds.
